Onion Browser is the Tor-endorsed free, open-source anti-censorship browser for Apple's iOS.

Based on the same principles as Tor Browser, it provides users with the highest standards of security, privacy, and internet freedom on an iPhone or iPad. By routing all of your encrypted web traffic through Tor, it ensures that browsing activity remains private, history is never saved, and location-based restrictions are bypassed. Onion Browser also enables easy access to the latest cutting-edge network filter circumvention technology, including Lyrebird (Obfs4), Snowflake, Web Tunnel, and DNS Turbo Tunnel. Our mission is to provide a transparent, community-audited, privacy-focused mobile web browser that eliminates targeted advertising, tracking, and censorship. Onion Browser has been developed for over 10 years by a team at Guardian Project, a primary community partner of Tor. These are the same developers behind Orbot, OnionShare for iOS, and developer libraries and tools including tor-android, the core Tor port to Android, Tor.framework the leading Tor port for iOS and macOS, and IPtProxy (the same circumvention library used in Orbot, Tor VPN and Tor Browser for Android). The project is on a path to evolve Onion Browser into a full Tor Browser for iOS, building on the same Firefox-core as the other Tor Browser releases.
